Super Group increases revenue 25% year-over-year to $516.8m for Q1 2025

The operator also witnessed a significant rise in adjusted EBITDA throughout the first quarter of 2025, increasing 120% from the prior year period for a total of $111.1m.

Throughout Q1 2025, betting operator Super Group managed to increase its total revenue by 25% year-over-year for a total of $516.8m, of which Betway accounted for $318m and its online casino Spin generated an additional $199m. Profit for Q1 2025 was reported to be $59.4m, growing by nearly $15m from the figure reported during the first quarter of 2024.
“We started 2025 on a high note, delivering a strong first quarter with impressive revenue growth, a surge in customer acquisition and effective retention strategies,” Super Group CEO Neal Menashe said.
“The Group’s combined revenue reached a record $517m for a first quarter, representing a 25% year-over-year increase, fueled by outstanding sports betting margins and consistent casino margins, as well as our ongoing efforts to optimize return on investment across all markets.”
Super Group also stated the increase in revenue was primarily attributed to growth in the Africa, Europe and North America – predominantly Canada – markets, partially offset by declines from LatAm, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
The operator managed to generate an adjusted EBITDA of $111.1m throughout the first quarter of 2025, representing a significant increase of 120% from the prior year period, while Super Group’s monthly active customers increased 14% year-over-year to 5.3m for Q1 2025.
In the Africa and Middle East markets, revenue from the Betway platform was reported to be $201m, while North America and Europe added $39m and $70m of revenue for Q1 2025, respectively. For Super Group’s online casino, North America generated $142m of revenue on Spin, while Asia-Pacific and Europe combined to produce $53m throughout the quarter.

The Africa and Middle East region managed to account for 39% of Super Group’s total revenue generated during Q1 2025, with North America and Europe following close behind at respective revenue holds of 35% and 19% for the period.
Under the Betway platform, $205m was produced while consumers used the online casino vertical of the offering, while an additional $106m was generated from sports betting. Despite the growth seen in North America, however, the operator’s ex-US adjusted EBITDA for Q1 2025 was $121m, and the figure was actually brought down by a negative $10m US adjusted EBITDA.
