Las Vegas Mayor Shelly Berkley recently announced plans for Circa 2 Casino & Resort to occupy space on the northeast corner of Symphony Park, according to a local news report from KLAS.
The mayor revealed the potential plans during her State of the City address at a recent Symphony Park neighborhood gathering.
She said in a statement, “These projects, along with the new medical office building, plans for a new art museum envisioned by Elaine Wynn and her team.
“And a casino developed by Derek Stevens on the northeast corner of Symphony Park, are all in our future.”
Derek Stevens developed the project. The new facility would be located behind the existing Circa Parking Garage, the site known as the Garage Mahal, the local report said.
In other Las Vegas news, Wynn Las Vegas recently celebrated its 20th anniversary at Allegiant Stadium with an unannounced Pitbull concert, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal report.
The show was dedicated to Day One employees at Wynn Las Vegas, the local report said.
During the celebration, Wynn CEO Craig Billings announced a $10,000 stock grant for all Day One workers.
This means those employees are now shareholders in the hotel.

Close to 1,500 Day One workers attended this week’s concert, along with their plus ones, bring the total turnout to almost 3,000.
Pitbull performed a 40-minute set at the party, with a set list that included “Don’t Stop The Party,” “I Like It,” “The Anthem Feat. Lil Jon,” and “Feel This Moment.”
