Maryland casino revenue reaches $172.1m during March 2025, declines 3.4% year-over-year

Maryland Lottery and Gaming has released the state’s casino revenues during March 2025, including a total gaming revenue of $172.1m, representing a decrease of 3.4% from the prior year period.
Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses. Throughout the period, Maryland casinos generated just under $74.6m in gaming contributions, which equates to a decrease of 2.5% year-over-year.
Maryland’s six privately owned casinos include MGM National Harbor, Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Ocean Downs Casino, Hollywood Casino Perryville and Rocky Gap Casino Resort.
Despite having generated the most gaming revenue of any property throughout March 2025 with $70.4m, MGM National Harbor still witnessed the second-largest decrease year-over-year at 6.2%. Rocky Gap Casino’s gaming revenue dropped by 9.8% from the prior year period, having reported just over $4.5m during the period.
Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland produced $63.8m of gaming revenue during March 2025, equating to a decrease of just 1.5% from the prior year period. The property also boasts the highest number of slot machines for any property located in Maryland, featuring over 3,800 offerings for guests.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore and Hollywood Casino Perryville reported gaming revenues of $17.2m and $8.2m, respectively, representing decreases of 0.4% and 2.6% year-over-year.
Having been the only property to increase its gaming revenue from the prior year period, Ocean Downs Casino generated $7.9m throughout March 2025, growing by 5.1%.
According to Maryland Lottery and Gaming, the $178m of gaming revenue produced by the six privately owned casinos during March 2024 represented the fifth-highest monthly mark ever recorded by the organization.
