Nevada February gaming revenue falls to $1.22bn

Key Points
- Nevada’s February 2025 gaming win has fallen by 9.3% to $1.22bn year-over-year
- The Las Vegas Strip’s revenue was also down 13.8% year-over-year
- These latest results come following positive financials from the state during December and January
Figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) for February highlight a 9.3% year-over-year decrease in gaming win for the state, settling at $1.22bn for the month.
Elsewhere, $75.2m in percentage fees were collected during the month of March based on the taxable revenue figure generated during February, up by 6.72% when compared to results from the year prior.
Nevada
Focusing on statewide financial results for the month of February, Nevada’s gaming win – or GGR – not only fell by 9.3% year-over-year during February, but also by 16.5% month-over-month. This latest GGR figure brings Nevada’s total revenue for the fiscal year-to-date (FYTD) up to $10.5bn, 1.14% lower than the FYTD revenue figure generated by this time in 2024.
However, despite evident decreases across the board, Nevada is coming out of the back end of a lucrative revenue phase which saw the NGCB post the highest and second-highest gaming win figures ever recorded in the state during December and January, respectively.
Statewide, slot machines accounted for the bulk of Nevada’s gaming win figure, generating $815.9m during February, with the remaining $401.7m being made up by table, counter and card games.
Las Vegas
With regard to results from Las Vegas alone, revenue from the Strip experienced a year-over-year downturn of 13.78% – generating $690.3m during February 2025. These figures do, indeed, represent a stark contrast to that of the numbers posted in January 2025, which saw the Las Vegas Strip generate $840.1m, 22.45% higher than results from the year before. More broadly, Clark County – home of Las Vegas – also posted a year-on-year GGR decrease of 9.66%, generating $1.1bn of the state’s overall gaming win during February.
Elsewhere, Downtown revenues also slipped by 4.9% in comparison to results from the year prior, settling at $72.5m, with revenue from Washoe County also decreasing 5.2% year-over-year to $78.5m.
Good to know: Macau’s also posted its most recent monthly revenue figures today, highlighting a GGR of $2.4bn for the month of March
This latest financial update follows a flurry of recent regulatory activity in Nevada, which began last month when Nevada Senator Rochelle Nguyen filed bill SB256, which looks to impose stricter fines against offshore operators.
Shortly after, the Nevada Gaming Commission issued its largest-ever fine of $10.5m to Resorts World Las Vegas for failure to comply with AML regulations in the state. Most recently, Kalshi announced its intention to file a federal lawsuit against the state of Nevada, alongside New Jersey, after recent rulings that sought to shut down its sports betting markets.
