Light & Wonder acquires Grover Gaming’s charitable assets

Light & Wonder has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the charitable gaming assets of Grover Gaming for a total consideration of $850m cash.
Grover Charitable Gaming is a provider of electronic pull-tabs, currently with over 10,000 leased electronic pull-tab units across five states in the US.
Light & Wonder will aim to help the continued growth of the company, with Grover Charitable Gaming offering a means to cross into a different sector, while the company has been performing well financially and has built solid relationships within the charitable space.
Once the transaction is complete, which is anticipated for the second quarter of 2025, employees from both Grover Gaming and Light & Wonder will occupy the business.
Light & Wonder President and CEO Matt Wilson said, “Grover Gaming is a leading player in charitable gaming, a category that has experienced significant growth in recent years.

“Importantly, there are exciting incremental revenue opportunities to be realized by leveraging Light & Wonder’s proven land-based gaming content to a new and loyal customer base.
