Midwest-based Rush Street Interactive, Inc., on Thursday said its flagship BetRivers.com brand now is an official betting partner of the Detroit Pistons.
Rush Street said it signed a multi-year partnership with the NBA franchise. Promotions for players will include exclusive Detroit Pistons prizes and experiences.
RSI will be authorized to use official Pistons logos and marks when it promotes the BetRivers brand in television, radio and digital advertising.
The company said it has developed a free-to-play game known as “Fan Pick’em,” in which Pistons fans can go to the Pistons app to play games and win prizes. The game will be presented by BetRivers.
The new partnership was announced on the eve of sports wagering going live in Michigan. BetRivers is one of several operators that will launch their mobile and online sports betting offerings in the Wolverine State this Friday.
RSI noted Pistons fans 21 or older will be able to wager legally on their team’s Friday and Saturday night games versus the Rockets and 76ers, respectively.
The company also will be offering online casino games starting Friday, including slot machines and table games such as blackjack, baccarat and roulette. It said live dealer table games are coming soon.
“Michiganders love their home state NBA team and the Detroit Pistons have a rich history, winning the NBA Championship three times,” Richard Schwartz, president of RSI, said in a statement. “BetRivers.com is proud to be an official sportsbook partner of this well-respected franchise.”
RSI was founded in 2012 and launched PlaySugarHouse.com, its first online gaming casino site, in New Jersey in September 2016 and was the first gaming company to launch a regulated online gaming site in Pennsylvania. BetRivers.com was among the first to launch regulated online gaming in Indiana, Colorado and, most recently, Illinois.
