Flutter and FanDuel have donated $250,000 in support of organizations attempting to provide relief efforts for the ongoing wildfires currently impacting the Southern California area. At least five separate wildfires are still affecting Southern California residents, which have burned through more than 17,000 acres of land in less than two days.

"FanDuel and Flutter have been proud members of the Los Angeles business community for over two decades. We are heartbroken by the devastating loss these wildfires have created in a community we call home," FanDuel CEO Amy Howe said.

"We are committed to ensuring our employees are safe and making sure the community has the resources it needs to support the heroic efforts of our first responders."

Flutter and FanDuel have been members of the Los Angeles business community for nearly 25 years. Flutter's previously-branded TVG platform, now FanDuel TV, is currently based in Culver City, California.

Good to know: FanDuel announced that James Hartmann and Louis Trombetta were appointed as Directors of Government Relations on December 18 in an effort to strengthen relationships in existing and future markets

The operator has nearly 400 employees based in Los Angeles, several of whom have been impacted by the fires according to FanDuel.

Flutter and FanDuel made the donation out to Americares and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, which have been helping to assist those in need while the wildfires have spread throughout the area.

The donation to Americares will help to support urgent health needs in affected communities, while the funding for the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation will support vital equipment and programs that help save lives and protect communities.
