Durango Casino & Resort has started its next phase of expansion efforts, which will include a new parking structure and over 25,000 sq ft of additional casino space. The project was given a construction cost of $116m and is expected to be completed in approximately 12 months.
The most recent expansion efforts will also feature 230 slot machines spread across the added casino space, with 120 set to be placed in a new high-limit slot and bar area. The property stated that, during construction, guests can still access complimentary hotel and casino valet, surface parking and north garage parking.
Durango Casino & Resort opened its doors to guests in late 2023, with expansion plans being put into place by Station Casinos in June 2024, which owns and operates the property. Station Casinos filed an agenda item in Nevada with the Clark County Zoning Commission on June 27.

The new casino area will be located northwest of the parking garage structure, with Station Casinos also proposing additional restaurant space as well as a water feature wall and outdoor patio area.
After meeting on July 3, 2024, the Clark County Zoning Commission approved the expansion plans, as Durango Casino & Resort will continue building upon the latest Station Casinos property.
