Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana to hold grand opening on February 13

The debut of the Cordish Companies property is still pending approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.

The Cordish Companies have announced that Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will hold its grand opening ceremony on February 13, 2025, featuring an inaugural lineup of entertainment.

The opening is still subject to approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, according to the Cordish Companies. 

"We couldn't be more thrilled to announce our grand opening date. We are so ready to go Live! in 2025 and deliver this top-tier gaming and entertainment experience that is unmatched by anything else in the four-state region," Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana EVP and GM John Chaszar said. 

"Live! is truly a one-of-a-kind destination, offering something for everyone—whether you're a sports fan, a foodie, a gaming enthusiast or just seeking an unforgettable night out, you'll find it all under one roof."

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana had a development cost of over $270m and will host performers such as Walker Hayes, Matt Mathews and Clint Black during its first month of operation.

The property features more than 47,000 sq ft of casino gaming space, including over 1,000 slots and electronic table games, 40-plus live-action table games and a sportsbook.
