The company stated that it expects to launch in West Virginia prior to the start of the 2025 collegiate football season, which typically begins in late August.

Key points:

- As part of the agreement, VIP Play will pay Delaware North a percentage of its online net gaming revenue during the term of the agreement

- The deal was also said to represent the first part of VIP Play’s US expansion efforts, set to continue throughout 2025

VIP Play announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Delaware North that will allow the company to gain market access in West Virginia for sports betting and online casinos.

Currently operating in both the US and international gaming markets, the terms of VIP Play’s new agreement fall under Delaware North’s Wheeling Island Casino license. The move into West Virginia represents the first part of VIP Play’s planned US expansion efforts for 2025.

The company also currently operates in the state of Tennessee as ZenSports.

"We appreciate Delaware North's access to the wonderful state of West Virginia,” VIP Play CEO and Chairman of the Board Bruce Cassidy said.

“This is an ideal market for VIP Play, Inc. to expand into as part of our US expansion efforts. We welcome the addition of online casino – ‘iGaming’ – to our list of offerings within the US and are excited to bring the VIP Play mobile app to West Virginia residents and visitors in 2025.”

Good to know: Delaware North appointed Lee Terfloth as its new Chief Interactive Gaming Officer on December 18, having previously served as the CEO of Prime Sports

As part of the agreement, VIP Play will pay Delaware North a percentage of its online net gaming revenue during the term of the agreement.

The company stated that it expects to launch in West Virginia prior to the start of the 2025 collegiate football season, which typically begins in late August, and in coordination with the development of the newly-branded VIP Play app, set to debut during early 2025 in Tennessee.
