The Michigan Gaming Control Board has released its November revenue results for the state’s three Detroit casinos. During the month, all three locations reported close to $108.4m in combined revenue.
Table games and slot revenue from the city’s three casinos accounted for almost $106.4m of the total for the month. Retail sports betting generated the remaining $1.9m.
Revenue from table games and slots last month rose by 40.1% when compared to results posted one year ago.
As in previous months, MGM held the top spot in November, accounting for 46% of July’s market shares. MotorCity and Hollywood Casino at Greektown followed close behind, with 31% and 23% respectively.
All three casinos reported an increase in November revenue year-over-year. MGM’s total revenue reached nearly $49.2m last month.
MotorCity revenue climbed to $33m during November, while Hollywood Casino at Greektown posted almost $24.2m in revenue.
Detroit’s casinos paid the state $8.6m in gaming taxes during the month and contributed an additional $13.2m in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the city.
Concerning retail sports betting, the city’s three casinos brought in a total handle of almost $21m during November, with gross receipts reaching $1.9m.
Qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) for the month fell by more than $1.2m year-over-year. However, QAGR results when compared to October rose by $2.7m.
Hollywood Casino at Greektown grabbed the top spot for sports betting activity for the month, reporting a QAGR of nearly $0.9m.
