MGM Resorts signs multi-year agreement with Cisco

The two companies signed a Whole Portfolio Agreement that will give MGM Resorts access to Cisco’s software portfolio.

MGM Resorts International and Cisco have announced the signing of a multi-year Whole Portfolio Agreement in order to “deliver next-generation guest experiences.”
The agreement gives MGM Resorts access to Cisco’s software portfolio and customer experience services. The company’s portfolio includes cybersecurity, software-defined networking, software-defined WAN, digital experience assurance, full-stack observability and a data center.
The deal between the two companies is said to last for five and a half years, also allowing for the automation of MGM Resorts’ network.
“Guests expect world-class hospitality from MGM Resorts, and technology helps us deliver,” MGM Resorts International CTO Branden Newman said.
“The new agreement with Cisco will give our employees the technology, speed and agility they need as we continue to deliver amazing guest experiences at all MGM Resorts’ destinations.”
Cisco and MGM Resorts have worked together for many years prior to the new deal, with Cisco technology playing an “integral role” in MGM Resorts’ operations.

The companies will work to ensure that MGM Resorts’ employees have secure access to all applications and that the deployment of technology supports the company’s sustainability goals.

The agreement will also hope to bring about location services and next-generation machine learning applications. Cisco’s technology was also said to ensure uptime and security for MGM Resorts.
