Key Points

- PrizePicks currently operates in 44 jurisdictions with plans for further expansion as stated by the operator
PrizePicks has announced that the operator has been awarded daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator licenses in both Delaware and Missouri. With the licenses now having been granted, PrizePicks will launch its peer-to-peer fantasy sports contest, Arena, in both states, now marking 15 states in which the contest is now live.
“We are proud that Arena has been approved in every state where it has been submitted. We’ve seen strong player adoption to date and we look forward to replicating our success in these new markets with a fun gaming experience,” PrizePicks CEO Mike Ybarra said.
“We’d like to extend our gratitude to the Delaware Division of Gaming Enforcement, the Delaware Lottery and the Missouri Gaming Commission for their thoughtful collaboration.”
Arena offers players the chance to compete for prizes against one another, as participants are grouped based on their number of entries, selected entry fee and experience level.
In August of 2024, the state of New Hampshire also approved PrizePicks for an operating license, extending the operator’s reach to 35 states at time of entry.
Good to know: Ybarra was hired to take on the role of CEO on August 5, having previous executive experience with Blizzard Entertainment
The company stated that further expansion should be expected after increasing the number of states it operates in to 37.
Ybarra took time to speak with Gaming America for an exclusive interview to cover PrizePicks’ ongoing efforts in the DFS space and his prior history before joining the operator.
