The Valley Suns, a G-League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns professional basketball team, has announced Gila River Resorts & Casinos as an official jersey partner ahead of the franchise’s inaugural season.
The property’s logo is set to appear on the back of Valley Suns’ players jerseys for the 2024-2025 G-League season and the announcement was made at an event held for season ticket holders at Gila River Resorts & Casinos Wild Horse Pass.
In early October, the team announced that the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona would also be an official jersey partner for the Valley Suns, with the organization’s logo placed on the front of each jersey.
Gila River Resorts & Casinos currently manages four locations across the state of Arizona and is owned and operated by the Gila River Indian Community. The partnership is not the only time the casino has worked with the Suns franchise, as former player Jae Crowder signed the first player endorsement deal in Gila River Resorts & Casinos history.
The home opener of the Valley Suns’ inaugural season is scheduled for November 11 against the Santa Cruz Warriors, an affiliate of the Golden State Warriors franchise.
Good to know: In 2022, the Arizona Coyotes signed a partnership with the Gila River Indian Community to include the resorts’ logo on player’s jerseys ahead of the 2022-2023 NHL season
Three properties managed by the Gila River Indian Community are located in Chandler, Arizona, including Lone Butte, Wild Horse Pass and Santa Mountain, while Vee Quiva was built in Laveen Village, Arizona.
