Michigan Gaming Control Board appoints Mark Evenson as newest member

He will fill the vacant seat left by Robert Anthony.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has named Mark Evenson to serve as its latest board member effectively immediately. His term will last through December 31, 2026.
His appointment was to replace board member Robert Anthony, who recently resigned.
Evenson currently works at Diversified Members Credit Union, where he serves as its CFO. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s in management and earned his master’s in corporate finance from Walsh College.
MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams took a moment to welcome Evenson by saying, “We are excited to welcome Mark Evenson to the Michigan Gaming Control Board. His extensive background in corporate finance and community service will be invaluable as we continue our mission of ensuring fair and honest gaming operations across Michigan.
“His leadership will further strengthen our efforts to protect the interests of Michigan’s citizens and uphold the integrity of gaming within the state.”
Evenson shared his excitement for his new role by saying, “I am humbled by the opportunity to be appointed to serve in this capacity.
“I’m looking forward to making an impact with the Board and our community as a whole.”
In other MGCB news, the board recently received an Emmy for its “Don’t Regret the Bet” responsible gaming campaign.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences gave the regulator the Michigan Chapter Emmy Award based on its success in the Graphic Arts – Motion Graphics category.
The campaign was the result of a collaborative effort between the MGCB, King Media and Detroit’s Cutters Studios.
