Saracen Casino Resort addition set to be completed during Fall of 2025
The new hotel and event center will bring the Quapaw Nation’s total investment in Arkansas to over $500m.
The Quapaw Nation, owners and operators of the Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, have announced that the property’s hotel and event center is on track to be opened during the Fall of 2025. The latest investment adds 400,000 sq ft, including a 320-room hotel and a 1,600 seat event center, to the existing casino building.
The addition will cost $250m and bring theTribe’s investment in the state to over $500m.
“We love Arkansas, it is an important part of our ancestral homeland. For the Quapaw Nation to return with something so big and visible is a source of great pride,” Quapaw Nation Business Committee Chair Wena Supernaw said.
Saracen Casino Resort opened in October 2020 and features 1,700 slot machines, 40 table games, the BetSaracen sportsbook and Arkansas’ only poker room currently.
“Saracen’s positive results since opening over four years ago have put us in a position to build this hotel and event center that will set a new standard in the region,” Saracen Casino Resort GM Matt Harkness said.
“This next phase is happening due to the hard work of the Saracen employees, and the guidance of the Quapaw Nation’s leadership.”
CFO Jim Burns also commented that the new addition will offer “continued diversification of our offerings, thereby improving the financial strength of our operations.”
On August 15, Saracen Casino Resort submitted a proposal to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration to create an online game that would send money to collegiate athletic collections around Arkansas. The game would function like a raffle, an Arkansas Democrat-Gazette report stated.
The Department of Finance and Administration raised concerns over the proposal, and has not discussed it further up to this point.
