The Ohio Casino Control Commission recently submitted a new rule regarding promotions and bonuses.
The amendment states that promotions must be unambiguous and clear. “Terms and conditions that are full, accurate, concise, transparent, and do not contain misleading information,” the commission stated.
More specifically, these offers need to include dates and times they are active and expire and must display rules of play, nature and value of awards or prizes, as well as what makes someone eligible.
Ohio welcomed legalized sports betting in January 2023. To date, 38 states in the US have opened legal regulated sports wagering markets since the Supreme Court overturned the previously established nationwide sports betting ban in 2018.
