Latin America's gaming industry to gather at GAT Caribe Cancun

Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT) is set to debut in the vibrant city of Cancun from November 26-28, 2024.
This event will bring together a vast community of gaming industry professionals from Mexico, Central, and South America, offering an unparalleled platform for training, showcasing technological innovations, and networking in Mexico's premier beach destination.
GAT Events has forged an alliance with AIEJA, the Association the Entertainment and Gaming Industry in Mexico, led by Miguel Angel Ochoa, to host GAT Caribe Cancun. AIEJA will hold its year-end General Assembly on November 26, within the framework of this innovative event, attracting all its members, including casino groups, manufacturers, suppliers, online platforms, and related business partners.
GAT Caribe Cancun will place special emphasis on the emerging trends in the booming sectors of online casinos, sports betting, and e-sports, which are experiencing unstoppable growth and transforming the digital entertainment industry. High-speed internet access has popularized these games in Mexico, offering a market of more than 80 million people the technological capability to play or bet from mobile devices. The increasing social acceptance of online casinos is encouraging more international operators to enter the market, providing Mexican players access to a variety of gaming platforms without significant restrictions.
In Mexico, the regulatory body is the Secretaría de Gobernación through its General Directorate of Gaming and Sweepstakes, there are more than 230 physical casinos operating in the country, with regulatory improvements expected to spur their growth with greater legal certainty. Manufacturers and suppliers of slot machines who choose to exhibit at GAT Caribe Cancun can benefit from the Mexican Ministry of Economy’s provisions for the temporary importation of tax-exempt machines and equipment, a process facilitated by GAT in collaboration with AIEJA.
Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT) is making its foray into the Mexican market at the Cancun Center fairgrounds, a vast venue with 14,000 square meters of exhibition and conference halls. Significant progress is being made in forming alliances for the event's general production, logistics, and hotel services for clients and visitors.
The marketing and sales efforts for GAT Caribe Cancun are progressing rapidly, attracting corporate brands from across Latin America. These brands, part of a robust ecosystem with operational bases in multiple jurisdictions on the continent, are eager to access new markets. Pragmatic Play continues its rapid advance in Latam and has once again taken the lead as the Premium Sponsor of GAT Caribe Cancun. Other notable sponsors include BetConstruct, which will shine in the Platinum category, along with Amusnet, Cactus Gaming, Betconnections, Oklahoma, BYA Group, and Fast Track, who have also secured their spots in the exhibition. In the coming days, the organization will announce the arrival of several more exhibitors with whom contracts are being finalized.
José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, comments: "We have encountered extraordinary interest in the project and enthusiasm from brands and traditional clients of GAT events who have confirmed their participation, presence, and support in the general program. This program will feature conferences and panels that are highly relevant to the current state of the industry in the country and the region, with an academic day offering regulatory and technological updates. The collaboration with AIEJA allows me to predict the total success of GAT Caribe Cancun in both its academic component and its exhibition, set in a venue equipped with all the necessary facilities for a high-caliber commercial show. During our networking events, all attendees will be able to experience the flavor of Mexico and its culture while achieving business goals, empowering themselves with knowledge, and forming new partnerships and friendships."
