This is the 15th annual People Planet Play Report from the company.

Caesars Entertainment has released its 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report which has looked at the company’s progress in environmental impact, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, team member development and community investment among other things.

Looking at Caesars' environmental impact, the organization has implemented a new greenhouse gas reduction goal of 46.2% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline, after it achieved emission goals three years ahead of schedule in 2022.

The company also undertook several initiatives to improve the carbon profile and overall environmental impact of Caesars Forum, its 600,000-square-foot convention center in Las Vegas.

Regarding diversity, equity and inclusion, Caesars held its first enterprise-wide Business Impact Group (BIG) summit for leaders from around the US, looking at sharing insights and developing best practices.

The report also highlighted that The Caesars Makes Change program expanded to nearly 40 Caesars Entertainment destinations around the US, which allows guests to donate some of their slot cash-out tickets to charity. In 2023, more than $1.25m was donated to the company’s partner organizations, Meals on Wheels America and Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

One of the other main topics from the report covered team member support. During the year, “Leading the Empire” was produced on a quarterly basis, to provide information about the five pillars of Caesars’ leadership framework with links to additional learning and online resources to help with self-development and professional growth for salaried team members.

Caesars Entertainment SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility Heather Rapp said, “At Caesars Entertainment, we’re committed to continuing to develop, diversify and achieve our CSR goals.

“We’ve been in a period of progress as we met and exceeded our interim emission reduction goals three years ahead of schedule, and because of that work, we were able to implement new, more ambitious goals this year.

“Our success in our environmental impact category motivates us to keep growing and achieving in our CSR efforts across the board. We look forward to continuing to grow and make a difference in the communities where we live, work and play.”

Back in April, Penn Entertainment released its 2023 CSR report, highlighting the company’s social, environmental and governance initiatives (ESG).
