Affinity Interactive names Scott Butera new President and CEO

He brings more than three decades of industry experience to his role.

Affinity Interactive has appointed Scott Butera as the company’s new President and CEO. Butera will assume his duties effective immediately.

In this role, Butera will be responsible for overseeing Affinity’s casino operations throughout its Nevada, Missouri and Iowa resorts. He will continue to manage the company’s online and print media platforms, which includes the Daily Racing Form.

Butera steps into this position with more than 30 years of industry experience. He holds a Bachelor’s from Trinity College, as well as an MBA from New York University.

Affinity Interactive Chairman and ZCG Founder, President and CEO James Zenni Jr. took a moment to congratulate Butera on his promotion and said the company is please to see Butera in this role.

He commented, “Scott’s operating acumen and deep knowledge of the gaming and entertainment industries have helped AI and Sports Information Group expand product offerings and improve the sports and gaming experience for consumers around the world.

“I am confident Scott will integrate seamlessly into this expanded role, and under his leadership, Affinity will achieve greater success, continuing to deliver world-class experiences to nearly one million users and guests across platforms.”

Butera expressed his excitement to take on this new position.

He commented, “Affinity’s mission to elevate the gaming industry through advanced technology and unparalleled customer offerings – both across digital media platforms as well as in-person gaming – remains a driving force behind the business’ success.

“I am eager to collaborate with Jim and leverage my familiarity with the business as well as my passion for driving innovative change to execute on AI’s long-term strategic priorities.”
