Total online gaming revenue continues to grow in 2024 after a strong 2023.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board has reported on its online gaming numbers in the state for the month of March, emphasising another positive month.

In total, online gaming from the Wolverine State's commercial and Tribal operators reached $257.08m for online gross revenue, an increase of 17.7% when compared to February.

Looking on an individual basis, iGaming gross revenue reached its highest total recorded in the state’s history at $215.2m, surpassing the record set only last month of $188m

This continues a positive start to 2024 for iGaming in Michigan, with each month in the year setting a new record for iGaming gross revenue, as January too had been a record at the time.

Looking at online sports betting, gross revenue for the month was valued at $41.93m, which is up from February's $30.5m.

In terms of adjusted gross revenue (AGR), the combined total of iGaming and online sports betting for March was $221.1m.

The bulk of this AGR came from iGaming at $194.47m, up 14.9% from February, while internet sports betting represented $26.67m, underlining growth of just over 105%.

Online sports betting handle reached $480.4m, a figure that was up 19.3% from the handle seen last month.

Operators submitted $41.1m in taxes and payments to the state of Michigan during March.

In other result-based news today, New Jersey has announced its gaming revenue for March, showing an 8.1% increase in total gaming revenue to a figure of $526.6m.
