BetMGM has debuted a new online slot game, Excalibur, in New Jersey and Michigan. The game takes visual inspiration from Las Vegas in combination with medieval iconography and was designed by Entain’s in-house studio, Win Studios.

The game is expected to launch in other states where BetMGM’s iGaming platform is live.

The game utilizes a five-reel, 20-line slot with wild and scatter symbols available to create an engaging player experience. The game also incorporates a bonus round, called The Tournament of Champions.

Excalibur is not BetMGM’s first Vegas-themed slot, with previous titles including Luxor Fortunes in February, which is also available in New Jersey and Michigan. The operator also launched Bellagio Fountains of Fortune and MGM Grand Millions, which also include famous Vegas iconography.

It is not only Las Vegas that BetMGM bases its games on, however. The provider has also released several games in recent months using recognizable IPs including The Godfather and Star Trek. On these slots, BetMGM Gaming VP Angus Nisbet explained in an exclusive with Gaming America, “Some games land and some games don't; sometimes, there's no rhyme or reason for it. But you've got to give yourself a chance and I think [we use] branded IP in a sensitive way, so the brand owners appreciate it.”

The full interview is available in our recent issue of Gaming America Magazine.

On this latest launch, BetMGM VP of Gaming Product & Content Oliver Bartlett said, “Excalibur is a fantastic addition to the collection of slots showcasing a selection of MGM Resorts’ Las Vegas casinos. We take tremendous pride in creating games around these world-class destinations and providing exciting games for our players.”

BetMGM won the title of Digital Operator of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas 2023.
