The game is exclusive to BetMGM, and is currently live in New Jersey and Michigan.

BetMGM has launched a new game, Luxor Fortunes, on its online platform.

Created by Light & Wonder, the game is themed around the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, using imagery from the property including the Luxor pyramid and other ancient Egyptian iconography. The game is currently available in Michigan and New Jersey.

The game features a 5x3 video reel with opportunities to activate four jackpots, as well as Free Spins and a Turbo Mode. The game shares similarities with 88 Fortunes, which launched in 2017.

The game is now part of BetMGM’s growing library of titles, with others including Star Trek: The Next Generation, which launched on BetMGM Casino in Michigan in January. It has also engaged in a multitude of partnerships to expand its game library, with recent examples including Slotmill, which debuted in the US via the agreement.

BetMGM also released its 2023 revenue figures, with net operations revenue of $1.96bn, up 36%. At the 2023 Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas, BetMGM was awarded the title of Digital Operator of the Year.

On the launch, BetMGM VP of Gaming Product & Content Oliver Bartlett said, “Luxor Fortunes is a perfect example of BetMGM’s omnichannel ability to create games based on iconic MGM properties. Luxor Fortunes already has enjoyed early success at BetMGM.”

VP of Game Development at Light & Wonder Rob Procter added, “Incredibly proud and pleased to see Luxor Fortunes game go live across New Jersey and Michigan. The ideation, creation and level of quality in this game is a testament to the long-standing and growing relationship Light & Wonder has with BetMGM. We are excited to see how players respond to this epic game.”
