BetMGM is a global sports betting and iGaming operator and is jointly owned by MGM Resorts International and Entain Holdings. In addition to providing various gaming services, the company remains focused on responsible gambling education. Its current CEO is Adam Greenblatt.
During 2018, MGM Resorts and Entain launched the BetMGM brand by signing a joint venture agreement. The group appointed Greenblatt as its CEO the same year. The New Jersey-based company went on to form a series of partnerships and product launches throughout 2019 that included its Moneyline Sportsbook debut in Bogota, as well as a partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings Sports Bar.
Through the collaboration, the duo has launched the Buffalo Wild Wings online casino slot game in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
During the end of 2019, BetMGM signed a deal with Yahoo Sports to become one of its exclusive sports betting partner.
The brand has launched in six North American markets that include New York, Louisiana, Illinois, Ontario, Kansas and Maryland. Since the company’s founding, BetMGM has extended its digital footprint to include more than 25 jurisdictions.
It has recently opened four retail sportsbook locations as well, including Nationals Park in Washington DC, Casino del Mar in Puerto Rico, The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas and at State Farm Stadium, which hosted Super Bowl LVII.
BetMGM has expanded its digital reach by recently launching its mobile sports betting app in Puerto Rico. The release came through its continued partnership with Casino del Mar at La Concha Resort.
The company’s Puerto Rico debut is its second release to extend beyond the US mainland market. BetMGM is also the first operator to release a mobile sports betting app in Puerto Rico.
