CDI selects SAP as official Kentucky Derby signature partner

The move is a part of a multi-year collaboration that includes naming rights.

CDI has signed a multi-year deal with SAP America. Under the terms of the agreement, SAP will represent the company as an official signature partner for CDI’s Churchill Downs Racetrack.

SAP will also serve as the racetrack’s first official technology partner. The partnership will bring with it SAP Gate Suites naming rights, exclusive suites and a tower of premium, as well as designation as the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs mobile apps’ presenting partner.

SAP America President Lloyd Adams described the collaboration as a big win for the company.

He commented further by saying, “This partnership is a great opportunity for SAP to collaborate with one of the most storied sporting events in the world, the Kentucky Derby.

“We are proud to work with partners who share our commitment to innovation and are excited to help CDI leverage SAP’s expertise and technology to support the growth of their company.”

CDI currently operates historical racing machines in Kentucky and was recently issued customary approving licenses by the Virginia Racing Commission, the New York State Gaming Commission and the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.

This year marks the 150-year anniversary of the Kentucky Derby. CDI President and CEO Bill Mudd reflected on the significance of this partnership during such a milestone moment for the company.
