VaideBet signs agreement with Corinthians to become new master sponsor

The company will invest R$370m over the next three years.

Online operator VaideBet and Brazilian football club Corinthians Paulista have signed a deal that will make VaideBet the club’s new master sponsor. Both the men’s and women’s football teams will sport the operator’s branding on their shirts.

The agreement also includes branding exposure with the futsal and basketball teams.

The deal marks the largest of its kind in Brazilian football history. Under the terms of the agreement, VaideBet will invest R$370m (US$75.9m) during the next three years.

VaideBet CFO André Murilo commented, “Sponsoring Corinthians is not just sponsoring one of the main institutions in Brazil but also a club with a beautiful history and a recognized passionate, engaged, and unique fan base. It is a historic milestone for VaideBet, which we planned for months and have now realized.

“Being alongside Corinthians and the Fiel is everything we would like for VaideBet’s strategy for the coming years, and we are very happy to have established this relationship. We know that the values are significant, and we hope that together we can help Corinthians go even further.” 

Corinthians President Augusto Melo also discussed the deal’s significance to the region and said that the company is excited to be a part of a Brazilian football milestone.

He commented, “We are very happy to bring the largest sponsorship in the history of Brazilian football to Corinthians, the result of negotiations that began during the campaign.

“We always emphasize that Corinthians has the biggest brand in South American football and one of the largest in the world. So, I insist: no one can think small in this club. Gradually, we will regain credibility, prominence and return Corinthians to Corinthians.”
