Connecticut’s first Tesla Electric Vehicle Showroom opens at Mohegan Sun
The opening took place on Wednesday.
Back in July, it was announced that the casino and resort, Mohegan Sun, was set to open a Tesla showroom for visitors to test drive, learn about and buy Tesla’s electric vehicles.
Now, Mohegan Sun and Tesla have announced the grand opening of the showroom, which comes equipped with a full sales and delivery center.
According to the announcement, this new sales and delivery center is the first of its kind in Connecticut and other jurisdictions which allows manufacturers to sell zero-emission vehicles directly to customers. Consumers have seen benefits from this, in the sense there is more electric vehicle adoption which generally brings cleaner air and better health to the area.
The new showroom from Tesla is open daily from 10:00am – 7:00pm Sunday through Thursday and 10:00am – 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday, with customers even having the chance to take demo drives of the Model 3, Y, S or X.
On top of the opening of the showroom, there is also set to be a deployment of 60 new Tesla Universal Wall Connectors which will be placed throughout Mohegan Sun’s parking infrastructure and if demand is there, more may be added in the future.
President & GM of Mohegan Sun, Jeff Hamilton, said: “Opening the Tesla EV Showroom here in our Shops at Mohegan Sun, with a full sales, service and delivery operation, is the next chapter in our constant goal of creating unrivaled experiences across our 5.5 million square foot destination.”
