SportsGrid appoints Greg Topalian to its Board of Directors
Exec brings 25 years of media event experience to his new role.
SportsGrid has named Greg Topalian as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Topalian will be responsible for overseeing the company’s initiative to enhance fan experiences.
During his near-25-year career, Topalian is said to have been instrumental in coordinating several notable events. In 1997, he started working for Reed Exhibitions and spent 17 years with the company.
While at Reed, he helped launch New York Comic Con and oversaw a deal to acquire and expand the Penny Arcade Expo.
In addition to these events, Topalian has aided in coordinating large B2B events that include G2E.
During 2014, he founded LeftField Media, which has launched several events since its founding that include Anime NYC, Awesome Con and Rose City Comic Con.
Topalian took on the role of CEO at Clarion Events North America in 2017. His responsibilities at Clarion include “overseeing the continued expansion of the business with his focus on innovative concepts and the opportunities to challenge the status quo of the diverse portfolio.”
