Time Out Ohio partners with Gamban to offer gambling-blocking software

The Buckeye State is the first to offer US players this kind of technology.

Time Out Ohio (TOO) has teamed up with UK-based Gamban to offer players around the state access to software that blocks gambling sites. Those looking to self-exclude from gambling activities can now put online bans in place, as well as those from brick-and-mortar casinos that TOO currently offers.

Through the partnership, the state of Ohio will be the first in the country to offer players gambling-blocking software. Players will be able to use these services at no cost.

The technology offered through Gamban can be used as a stand-alone program or in tandem with services that TOO provides.

Ohio Lottery Commission Deputy Director of Responsible Gambling Jimmie Hicks outlined what will be available for those who want additional gambling-blocking protection with Time Out Ohio.

“A Gamban one-year subscription is being offered at no cost to anyone looking for protection from mobile sports betting and other online gambling coupled with Time Out Ohio or as a stand-alone protection.”

In addition to its work with the state of Ohio, Gamban provides its software throughout the US to companies that include FanDuel, Unibet, Bally’s and WagerScore.

Gamban Co-founder Matt Zarb-Cousin took a moment to commend Time Out Ohio for services it offers.
