Nevada reports $1.32bn in total gaming revenue for October
There were, however, falls in gaming revenue for a number of casinos.
Nevada has released its gaming revenue for the month of October, reporting total gaming revenue as $1.32bn, representing a year-over-year increase of 2.7%.
The largest percentage increase in the Silver State was at the Boulder Strip, which saw an increase of 10.26% in its total gaming revenue year-over-year to $88.6m.
Sparks suffering the biggest fall, going down from $16.5m in October 2022 to $15.4m in October 2023, which shows a total decrease of 6.93%.
Within the period, the LV Strip is of course still the highest earner of total gaming revenue, with a total of $714.5m, though that only showed an increase of 1.23%. Its next-door neighbor, Downtown, recorded total gaming revenue of $97.5m, but this underlined a larger increase than the LV Strip, totaling 7.8%, as it continues to grow.
Year-over-year, Clark County and Washoe County saw improvements in total gaming revenue, while South Lake Tahoe, Elko County and Carson Valley Area all saw percentage losses.
In total, the state collected $83.1m in percentage fees during November based on taxable revenues generated in October. Year-over-year, this highlights an increase of 8.72%.
