BetMGM mobile sports betting app goes live in Kentucky
The company also plans to open a retail sportsbook later this fall.
Operator BetMGM has launched its online and mobile sports betting app in Kentucky. The state recently opened its retail sports wagering market earlier this month.
Players in the Bluegrass State can access the user-friendly app on their mobile devices and customize its features for a more personalized gaming experience. The BetMGM mobile app features customizable pre-game, in-play and parlay wagering options, along with same-game parlays and weekly free-to-play contests.
Company CEO Adam Greenblatt expressed the company’s excitement to bring online mobile sports betting to Kentucky sports fans.
He said, “Kentucky is home to some of the country’s most passionate fans. We’re confident that our sports betting platform will elevate their gameday experience.”
Along with the online launch, BetMGM is gearing up to bring a retail sports betting location to the city of Ashland this fall. The company will partner with Revolutionary Racing Kentucky to open a 5,200-square-foot retail sportsbook at Sandy’s Racing & Gaming.
The $75m gaming and entertainment facility is currently planning the construction of the state’s first quarter horse racetrack and equestrian center, which is scheduled to hold its first race in 2025.
Revolutionary Racing CEO Prentice Salter commented on the collaboration by saying, “We know how excited Kentucky sports fans are to finally be able to place wagers with BetMGM.
“And we know they will be even more excited when Sandy’s opens this fall, and they can bet while watching games with their friends in our BetMGM Race and Sportsbook.”
Greenblatt described its partnership with Revolutionary Racing as “ideal.” He said regarding the upcoming opening, “Revolutionary Racing is the ideal partner to help us deliver a dynamic retail experience, one that will be a go-to destination for sports and entertainment in Kentucky.”
