Jackpot.com launching in New York on Tuesday

Jackpot.com is launching in New York state on Tuesday.

The lottery app allows customers to purchase and play official state lottery tickets for Powerball, Mega Millions, Pick 10 and NY Lotto remotely.

The Tisch family, owner of the New York Giants, has invested in Jackpot.com, which also has a marketing partnership with the New York Yankees.

Thanks to a certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling, Jackpot.com’s entire transaction process is said to eliminate the risk of lost tickets and winnings. It also features safeguards to help proactively identify problematic gambling patterns.

Earlier this year, Jackpot.com launched in Ohio and investors included the Haslam Sports Group, which owns the Cleveland Browns and the Columbus Crew, and Detroit Venture Partners, the venture arm of Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert’s family office.

Jackpot.com launched in its first state, Texas, in January 2023, on the heels of a $42m funding round.

Jon Janoviak of the Cleveland Guardians said in May, “Jackpot.com is providing a unique and modern solution to make the lottery more convenient and accessible to citizens all across Ohio. The Guardians are proud to be announcing this partnership with Jackpot and are excited to see the positive change this brings, not only to our fans but Ohioans everywhere.”

Jackpot.com brings verified, official state lottery tickets online. To play, just requires downloading the Jackpot.com iOS or Android app, or playing online from your phone or desktop.

It is not to be confused, of course, with Jackpocket – which has enjoyed a number of launches in recent months.
