Silverdale’s All Star Lanes & Casino acquired by Maverick Gaming
Maverick Gaming will now also own 23 Washington card rooms and implement its problem gambling policies at all locations.
Washington-based Maverick Gaming has announced the acquisition of local All Star Lanes & Casino in Silverdale. The venue features table games, poker, a bowling alley, an arcade and three dining options including a drive-thru espresso café, a bistro bar and a diner.
Eric Persson, CEO and majority owner of Maverick Gaming, said, “Maverick Gaming is proud of its ongoing investment in local communities and jobs across our state. We all look forward to building partnerships with the community of Silverdale, supporting family wage jobs and investing in a great local entertainment center.”
While All Star’s casino games are available to patrons of 18 years or older, the venue is also a community and family-friendly locale that employs over 150 people. It is considered a major employer in Kitsap County, Washington.
Maverick Gaming also owns the Maverick Casino & Hotel and the Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino in Nevada and the Grand Z Casino Hotel in Colorado. Maverick Gaming aims to partner with communities surrounding its properties and created an employee-led philanthropic effort called Maverick Cares in each state.
Maverick Cares provides meals, school supplies and experiences for families in each area. The community program’s name is an homage to Persson’s son, also named Maverick.
As part of Maverick Gaming’s acquisition of All Star Lanes & Casino, the company will now own and operate 23 local card rooms in Washington State, as well as integrate responsible gaming and problem gambling policies at all Washington properties. This includes a company-wide self-exclusion program, which was one of the first developed in Washington.
