Super Group added to Russell 2000 Index
This is the next step in a company-wide strategic expansion plan.
Super Group has joined the Russell 2000 Index as part of an annual reconstitution process conducted by FTSE Russell. The company ranks 4,000 of the largest US stocks by market capitalization.
Annual rankings are often used by both institutional investors and by investment managers to aid in their financial strategies.
Super Group will be automatically added to the Russell 3000 Index as a result of making the 2000 Index.
Super Group is the parent company of Betway, a sports betting and gaming business, and of Spin, a multi-brand online casino. It is licensed in 25 jurisdictions and is represented in markets throughout Europe, the Americas and Africa.
The company also works to provide a safe gambling environment for its clientele.
Super Group CEO Neal Menashe further elaborated on what he calls a company milestone.
He said, “We are excited to join the Russell 2000 Index. We believe that this milestone as a public company will enhance our profile with investors as we work towards optimizing our global footprint in the online sports betting and gaming industries while maintaining our profitability.”
Super Group recently completed a deal for its previously announced acquisition of online sports betting and iGaming company Digital Gaming Corporation Limited (DGC). Through the closed agreement, Super Group will have access to both US online sports betting and gaming markets.
DGC operates in eight states throughout the US and has market access in 12 states. Under the terms of the recent purchase deal, Super Group will be able to expand its digital footprint across the US.
