IGT expands North American reach through Betfred partnership
The supplier will support both mobile and retail sports betting at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook in Las Vegas.
Supplier IGT has signed a multi-year PlaySports technology deal with Betfred. IGT will partner with the sports betting operator at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The agreement comes on the heels of Betfred’s debut into the Vegas wagering market.
Under the terms of the deal, IGT will aid in powering both retail and mobile sports betting at Mohegan Sun Sportsbook.
Betfred USA Sports COO Bryan Bennett described its collaboration with IGT as an ideal choice and said the company is excited to work with IGT.
He commented: “IGT PlaySports’ remarkable reputation and influence in the US sports betting market, coupled with their ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, give Betfred supreme confidence in our choice to partner with IGT in Nevada.
“IGT PlaySports’ experienced, in-market team and proven technology will enable Betfred to scale our operation in parallel with market opportunities and to establish a competitive and engaging betting experience in the most exciting gaming destination in the world.”
IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher echoed similar sentiments about the agreement. He took a moment to commend Betfred on its accomplishments.
