PointsBet integrates IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre feature into its app
This feature gives users access to a wider range of betting markets and options.
PointsBet has announced the integration of IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre betting feature into its betting app. This feature promised to deliver an “enhanced golf betting experience,” by offering users access to 35,000 betting markets per tournament.
As part of the integration, gamblers will have the ability to bet on a wide variety of betting markets, such as distance of long drive, total putts on the next hole, next hole score and closest pin.
Users will be able to bet on the sport’s most prominent events, including the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, the Majors, The Players Championship, Presidents Cup, FedExCup Playoffs and the Ryder Cup.
PointsBet USA Chief Strategy Officer Eric Foote commented: “Since our entrance into the US market, we’ve seen wagering on golf grow immensely, and there continues to be an increased appetite from bettors to go beyond the traditional bet types and tap into live markets.”
This is backed by metrics, which show that, at PointsBet, year-on-year golf handle has increased by 23% while annual golf live betting has risen by 25%.
Foote continued: “Live betting is without a doubt the future of sports betting and the interest among the golf community is there. With the addition of IMG Arena’s Golf Event Centre, we’re catering to this demand all while ushering in a new viewing experience for fans that get them closer to the greens.”
Bettors can analyze live statistics, including course and hole maps and shot-by-shot data for every player on the course, to best inform their betting selections for all the key pro golf events.
