FlowPlay raises over $550,000 for American Cancer Society
The company’s Vegas World in-game fundraisers are responsible for the contribution.
In October, FlowPlay, a gaming platform for casual sports wagering, virtual worlds and social casinos, offered a virtual branded charm that players could purchase in Vegas World.
If purchased, the funds went directly to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and it was revealed that in-game fundraisers have now raised over $550,000 and over one million charms were sold for ACS.
FlowPlay President and Co-Founder Derrick Morton commented: “Our FlowPlay players always show up, continuing to support ACS no matter what else is going on in their lives or in the world.
“I’m so proud of how much we’ve raised for this incredible nonprofit, and am hopeful other organizations will take note of this power of community.”
A second fundraising campaign was hosted by FlowPlay in May, which raised $60,000 for the ACS’s Road To Recovery program. The company also participated in the 2022 Fit2Be Cancer Free Step Challenge by ACS, raising over $28,000 and ranking 4th in the nation.

Fundraising from the current campaign went directly to ACS’s Patient Navigation programs, an evidence-based intervention platform that connects cancer patients with volunteer health system navigators who can provide personalized assistance to patients, families and caregivers.
