Forbes honors Caesars Entertainment as a top employer for veterans
Caesars is one of 200 US employers to receive the honor.
Forbes America has recognized Caesars Entertainment for its Salute program, stating that the company is one of the Best Employers for Veterans in the US.
Forbes’ full list includes 200 employers across the nation. The list includes such corporations as Google, NASA and Clorox. Caesars is the only casino-entertainment company on the list – and the only company based out of Las Vegas to be honored.
“We’re thrilled to be named as one of the Best Employers for Veterans,” said Caesars Entertainment SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility Heather Rapp.
“But more importantly, we’re so honored to be able to support our active-duty and veteran Team Members and spouses, by providing them with resources and a community to come together to discuss experiences and common issues. We’re proud and extremely thankful for their service and recognize the great sacrifices they have made for our country.”
Salute is one of Caesars Entertainment’s seven Business Impact Groups, designed to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. Salute works with its veteran team members to organize fundraisers, donation drives, job fairs and holiday events.
The stated goal of the program is to “embrace the core values of duty, honor and selfless service.”
The program helped Caesars team members volunteer more than 4,000 hours of service with local veteran groups and has resulted in almost $1m in donations from the company.
“I served in the military for eight years; little did I know that afterward, a job offer extended by a fellow US Marine would grow into a nearly 32-year career with Caesars Entertainment,” said Caesars Entertainment SVP Bill Gustafson.
“I am honored to work for a company that makes a point to hire veterans and offers support both internally with Salute, and externally through donations and volunteer hours that benefit veteran organizations.”
