Bay Mills Resort & Casino teams up with DraftKings to open new retail sportsbook
A ribbon cutting ceremony kicked off its grand opening.
DraftKings and Bay Mills Resort & Casino have celebrated the grand opening of its DraftKings Sportsbook retail location, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included community leaders and DraftKings executives.
Guests who attended the ceremony stayed to watch the recent NFL matchup between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.
The new retail sportsbook features eight large high-definition TVs, as well as sports betting kiosks, and food and beverage services.
Bay Mills Resort and Casino General Manager Richard LeBlanc noted that the sportsbook has the potential to affect the area in a positive way.
He commented: “We’re excited to finally launch the retail DraftKings Sportsbook in our casino. It has been equally gratifying to demonstrate our DraftKings partnership to our guests and community, which will positively impact our region for years to come.”
DraftKings said in a statement that the sportsbook was designed “with sports fans in mind.” Sports betting fans can access scores in real time via three odds boards and place wagers through four kiosks within the location’s layout.
DraftKings Director of Retail Sportsbook Operations Michael Kibort, Sr. said: “We are thrilled to expand our incredible partnership with the Bay Mills Indian Community and to create an amenity that all guests can enjoy at one of the premier entertainment destinations in Northern Michigan.
“Our new sportsbook at Bay Mills Resort & Casino will offer sports fans an unmatched high-energy, year-round immersive sports betting experience.”
The retail sportsbook is open seven days a week and offers its guests food and beverages daily, starting at 11AM.
