Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana posts $36.7m in revenue for September
The casino has been the state’s top earning location for the last year.
According to the monthly revenue report by the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC), the Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana brought in $36.7m in revenue for the month of September.
For the twelfth straight month, the casino comes in as Indiana’s top-earning casino and earned $4m more than it did in August of 2022. The location came in just shy of its July record of $36.8m.
After first opening in May, Hard Rock took the top spot in September 2021 with $29.5m in revenue reported.
The Horseshoe Hammond continues to rank in the top three producing casinos in the state, with earnings of $27.3m in September, falling just short of Hard Rock Indianapolis which earned $27.4m.
Ameristar Casino in East Chicago reported earnings of $16.2m in September which is about $500,000 down from the $16.7m from August of 2022.
Hard Rock Northern Indiana President Matt Schuffert commented: “It’s good to see growth in all aspects of our business. Year-over-year certainly was good.”
The online sportsbook at the location launched on September 6 after first opening as a retail location in May. In September, the sportsbook brought in over $7.8m in revenue.
Schuffert continued: “It is certainly going to take some time for that sector to grow. At this point. I think we’re seeing a lot of continued growth in our business.
“Certainly anytime there is a risk of increased cost to our consumers it is something to keep an eye on. We are certainly seeing some declines at some of the other properties around the state. We are also seeing some growth year over year at other properties around the state.”
Horseshoe Hammond and Ameristar East Chicago didn’t comment on the monthly reports released by the IGC.
