Connecticut’s Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar gains new sportsbook via partnership with PlaySugarHouse
The new retail location will open in December.
The Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar franchise in Shelton, Connecticut has teamed up with The Connecticut Lottery Corporation to launch a PlaySugarHouse retail sportsbook. The launch marks the first PlaySugarHouse retail sportsbook location to open at Arooga’s.
PlaySugarHouse is a sports wagering platform within Rush Street Interactive (RSI) brand.
Arooga’s Shelton franchise Co-Owner James Belli expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and the new sportsbook openings.
Belli commented: “We are extremely excited that the CT lottery has chosen Arooga’s Grille House and Sports Bar in Shelton, Ct to launch of the Connecticut’s sports book locations.
“This partnership will offer guests throughout the region an unparalleled opportunity to watch a game and place a sports bet in what we believe is one of, if not the best, sports atmospheres in Connecticut. We are thrilled and look forward to the future of this partnership.”
The new sportsbook is scheduled to open in December. Arooga’s PlaySugarHouse location features multiple kiosks and more than 100 high-definition TVs within its 7,000 square-foot space. The venue can seat up to 250 people.
Arooga’s Shelton franchise Co-Owner David McBride said: “We have always paid attention to the expanding gaming landscape in the Northeast and have been hopeful that sports wagering would become available to us.”
McBride went on to add that the sportsbook’s proposed layout has been designed to create an ideal betting environment for its guests.
He commented: “The proposed layout for PlaySugarHouse is really magnificent with up to fifteen kiosks, so there will be plenty of room to satisfy all guests within the restaurant as well as patrons who would like to stop by and place a bet.”
Rush Street Interactive is live in 13 US states, including Pennsylvania, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, West Virginia, Arizona and Louisiana.
