Twin River announces casino reopenings; acquisitions remain on course

Operator’s full portfolio expected to be reopened by July.
Twin River Worldwide Holdings has reopened its Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, additionally announcing plans to open its two Rhode Island properties on 8 June.
By that point, the operator will have resumed operations at almost all its casinos, having reopened the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi on 21 May.
It aims to have its full portfolio reopened by the beginning of July.
Twin River also says its previously announced acquisitions of Isle of Capri Kansas City in Missouri and Lady Luck Vicksburg in Mississippi will close in early July, pending Missouri regulatory approval.
George Papanier, Twin River president and CEO, said: “We are very excited to continue progress on our reopening plan and with the prospect of having our full portfolio opened by the beginning of July.
“As evidenced by our successful reopening at Hard Rock Biloxi, there is strong market demand, for which we are well-positioned as a regional gaming company focused on local and regional visitation.”
