LionGrove announces purchase of Wyndham Grand Rio Mar in Puerto Rico
The resort contains a casino and is located within 30 minutes of San Juan.
LionGrove has acquired the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. This is the company’s second Puerto Rico resort location.
Wyndham Grand Rio Mar will continue to operate under the current Wyndham Grand brand and will remain a part of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family.
LionGrove CEO and Founder Andro Nodarse-León said the company is thrilled to add Wyndham Grand Rio Mar to its list of locations.
He commented: “We are extremely pleased with this fantastic new addition to the LionGrove portfolio. We now own three fantastic hotels and operate two of them on the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, representing almost 900 keys in combined rooms inventory.
“This latest acquisition grows the LionGrove family to approximately 750 team members across the two hotels we operate.”
The resort is about 30 minutes outside of San Juan and is comprised of a casino, 400 guestrooms, nine restaurants, two championship golf courses, two tennis courts and a spa. Wyndham Grand Rio Mar has nearly 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space available.

LionGrove also announced the appointment of Senior Vice President Amadeo Zarzosa as the resort’s General Manager.
