Betcris to sponsor nine of its league’s soccer teams in Honduras
The company aims to grow the league’s status in the LatAm market.
Betcris is continuing to grow its profile in the Latin American region after it agreed to sponsor the nine soccer teams of the Betcris League of Honduras.
The league was already acquired by the sports betting platform as a brand. Now, with the formal agreement to sponsor participating teams, it is setting its sights on growing that brand.
Among the teams that Betcris will be sponsoring are the following: Motagua, Marathon, Vida, Real España, Real Sociedad, Platense, Victoria, UPNFM and Honduras Progreso.
This league is the Central American nation’s first soccer division. The gaming company hopes to encourage support for the teams both on and off the field.
Betcris is eager to grow the profile of its soccer teams in the market. As Head of New Markets Rafaell Granja commented: “For us, this new step we are taking is a source of pride, as we are sponsors of clubs with a great historical tradition and we know that we have a lot to offer locally and internationally, and we thank each of the teams that has made this possible.”
The sponsoring of leagues and teams is not a new endeavor for Betcris. In addition to the recently added League of Honduras, the sports betting platform can also claim to have struck deals with the National Football League, Major League Baseball, Ecuador’s Liga Pro, the Mexican Football Federation, the Ecuadorian Football Federation, among others.
The company, which just celebrated its 22nd anniversary, has quite a presence in Latin America and beyond. It is in 15 countries across three continents and has partnerships with over 100 agencies in the Americas.
