Argentina Chaco Lottery opens municipal sports park in Santa Sylvina

Argentina’s Chaco Lottery inaugurated a municipal sports park in Santa Sylvina on December 19, expanding the provincial lottery operator’s ongoing commitment to community sports infrastructure development across the province.
Governor Leandro Zdero, Chaco Lottery President Lucas Apud Masín and Santa Sylvina Mayor Diego Calderón attended the opening ceremony for the facility located in the municipality’s southern district. The complex features a multi-sport court accommodating soccer, volleyball, basketball and handball, alongside restroom facilities, ping-pong and chess tables, and recreational spaces.
The inauguration marks the latest in a series of sports infrastructure projects funded by the lottery operator throughout 2024 and 2025. Earlier this year, Chaco Lottery partnered with Telekino to deliver sports equipment to grassroots football clubs as part of a two-year community investment initiative.
The sports park development aligns with the provincial government’s broader social agenda under Governor Zdero’s administration, which has utilized lottery revenues to fund community projects across multiple sectors. In July, the operator launched the second edition of its Solidarios por la Vida charity raffle, directing 70% of proceeds to nonprofit organizations supporting urgent medical needs.
Apud Masín has emphasized community partnerships throughout his tenure, particularly with organizations that promote solidarity and teamwork values. The lottery’s infrastructure investments have focused on underserved communities across Chaco Province, with facilities designed to support both physical activity and social gatherings.
The timing of the inauguration coincides with Argentina’s peak summer season, when outdoor sports facilities see increased usage. The multi-purpose design allows the venue to host various community events beyond traditional sports programming, including cultural and artistic activities.
Provincial lottery operators across Argentina have increasingly directed revenues toward community development projects, with sports infrastructure representing a significant portion of social investment spending.
