BetMGM and Bill Burr pen content partnership
Deal extends to the ‘All Things Comedy’ podcast platform.
BetMGM, the sports betting and iGaming division of MGM Resorts International, has today announced the signing of a content partnership with comedian Bill Burr (pictured) and his podcast network All Things Comedy.
Per the agreement, BetMGM’s sportsbook data and promotional offers will be integrated into a number of All Thing Comedy-created podcasts including ‘Anything Better’ hosted by Bill Burr and Paul Virzi. BetMGM content will also feature on Burr’s YouTube channel, specifically his ‘Monday Morning Podcast.’
“You gotta have some juice on the game, otherwise what are we doing? Sitting outside eating hot dogs?” commented Burr on sports betting.
The comedian is well known for a number of roles across Hollywood. He has stared as Mayfield in the Star Wars spin-off ‘The Mandalorian’, and appeared in ‘The King of Staten Island’ with Pete Davidson. Burr is also a Grammy nominee and the founder of All Things Comedy.
Matt Prevost, chief revenue officer, BetMGM, added: “Bill Burr has one of the funniest, most distinctive and outspoken voices in comedy. We look forward to seeing BetMGM content incorporated into his Podcast and broader social channels.”
Recently BetMGM inked an agreement with the MMA personality Ariel Helwani. The journalist joins the company as a brand ambassador.
“Sports betting has always been intertwined with the mixed martial arts world and now, with its availability in more states, I’m excited to work hand-in-hand with BetMGM to deliver unique insights into the sports betting world,” said Helwani.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in New Jersey, BetMGM is the result of a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain Plc. The sports betting app is available on both iOS and Android.
The gaming platform is currently legalized in Michigan, Virginia, Washington DC, New Jersey, Nevada, West Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, Colorado, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Arizona and, Mississippi.
