Sahara Las Vegas signs with Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems

APPS will handle credit card processing for the casino resort.
Sahara Las Vegas on Wednesday said it has signed with Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems NV, Corp., a payment solutions provider for the North American market.
The two parties said APPS will provide servicing and support for credit card processing needs across all areas of the casino resort.
APPS is headquartered in Las Vegas and has additional offices in Fountain Valley, California, and Louisville, Kentucky.
The Sahara name is in its second usage at the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip. The original Sahara Hotel opened in 1952, closed in 2011, and was reopened as SLS Las Vegas in 2014.
Alex Meruelo purchased the property in 2018, and after a $150m redesign, it reopened as Sahara Las Vegas in 2019.
The current resort has 1,615 guest rooms and suites in three towers, a 60,000-square-foot casino, a William Hill sportsbook, and numerous bars, restaurants and lounges.
“We are pleased to welcome Sahara Las Vegas to the APPS family of merchants and look forward to improving the payments experience for their patrons,” SVP of strategic accounts Leo Daboub said in a statement. “We are grateful to add Sahara Las Vegas as a new customer and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”
APPS has been in the payments business for more than 15 years. The company says it offers secure connectivity for card present transactions and online payment gateways for all e-commerce, mobile and virtual transactions.
