Buenos Aires has hosted a “NOoo Ludo!: Rap libre de apuestas” (Gambling-Free Rap) concert, the city’s first musical festival dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of underage online betting.
The free event, held on Saturday July 26 at Mary Terán Stadium, was organized by Fundación CasaSan as part of the broader “Hablar es ganar” (to speak is to win) campaign.
The festival featured city officials, including Mayor Jorge Macri, Chief of Staff Gabriel Sánchez Zinny and City Lottery Director Jesús Acevedo.
The initiative aimed to promote emerging talent, celebrate neighborhood culture and urban art while delivering a message about gambling risks to minors through an approach targeting parents, educators and the broader community.
The musical lineup showcased rap artists, including G Sony and Chino CNO, alongside Don Lucero. Headliner Neo Pistea closed the event.
Good to know: The San Isidro district launched a similar campaign aimed at minors under the motto “Play it safe”
The Buenos Aires City Lottery (LOTBA) participated with an institutional booth aimed at promoting healthy relationships with entertainment and encouraging open dialogue on issues related to youth gambling.
The festival is part of a broader anti-gambling strategy that has already shown measurable results. City authorities have blocked access to more than 2,300 illegal gambling websites, including 1,698 on the public BA WiFi network. In addition, 89 social media influencers received warnings for promoting gambling content to minors, and 15 of them have participated in educational training sessions.
Additional enforcement efforts include 20 reports filed against illegal physical gambling operations and nearly 400 awareness workshops conducted across the city, reaching more than 50,000 people.
Through this initiative, LOTBA continues its coordination with the city government, social organizations, schools and families to address gambling-related risks among minors through a community-based approach.
