Pennsylvania gaming revenue climbs 15.4% year-over-year for June 2025

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported the state’s gaming activity throughout June 2025, including a monthly revenue of $544.7m, representing an increase of 15.4% from the prior year period. Casinos and sports betting operators paid nearly $229.8m in total tax revenue collected by the PGCB.
In June 2025, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led all properties in revenue generated for the period, having accounted for $96.4m and increasing 30% from the prior year period. Valley Forge Casino managed to grow its revenue by an even greater 46.3% year-over-year, but finished as the second-highest grossing property with a June 2025 revenue of $93.5m.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Parx Casino each managed to eclipse the $50m revenue mark in June 2025, with Rivers Casino generating $53.4m for an increase of 12.2% from the prior year period, while Parx Casino produced just over $52.5m and grew by 4.4% year-over-year.
For individual gaming types, retail slots drove the most revenue throughout the period, generating $199.3m despite reporting a decrease of 0.9% from the prior year period. iGaming slots grew its revenue by 35.9% year-over-year in June 2025, having accounted for $162.2m of the state’s total gaming revenue.
Retail table games increased its revenue by 1.6% year-over-year for a total of $77.3m, while sports wagering witnessed a significant increase of 71.4% from the prior year period to account for $51.2m of revenue. iGaming table games were the only fellow gaming type to produce a revenue over $10m, reporting $47.6m for June 2025 and increasing by 22.1% year-over-year.

Sports bettors in Pennsylvania wagered a total of just over $483.6m throughout June 2025, equating to an increase of 4.1% from the prior year period, as the revenue figure produced for the period was primarily driven by online wagering, having accounted for $49.2m.
Valley Forge Casino reported a total handle of $164m for June 2025 as well as the highest sports wagering revenue of any property at nearly $23.2m. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows was a close second with $14.2m of sports wagering revenue generated throughout the period, having witnessed $132m worth of wagers in June 2025.
Video gaming terminals (VGTs) reported a decrease of 2.2% year-over-year for its June 2025 revenue to $3.4m, while iGaming poker managed to produce an increase of 23.2% from the prior year period for a total of $2.7m of revenue.
