Tappp and BetMGM bring gift card program to Ontario players
The program first launched nearly four years ago in the US.

iGaming operator BetMGM and payment options provider Tappp have introduced BetMGM’s gift card program in the Canadian province of Ontario. These will be available through premier retailers throughout the province.
“We are constantly seeking new ways to increase the accessibility of our clients’ gift card products,” said Sandy Agarwal, Founder and CEO at Tappp. “Securing the distribution of BetMGM gift cards in Ontario is another exciting first for us as it opens up an entirely new country for BetMGM and its retail customers.”
BetMGM players can have easier access to their accounts and fund sportsbook and iGaming accounts through the gift card program. This system allows players to use a PIN verification to securely load their accounts.
The BetMGM gift cards debuted in the US and currently have a 99% redemption rate within that region. BetMGM first launched this program in 2021 through its partnership with Tappp.
BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said the company is excited to bring this program to Ontario players.
He said, “Ontario has proved to be a robust market for sports betting and iGaming with BetMGM as one of the top-tier operators. We are proud to be the first to debut sportsbook-branded gift cards and offer players another convenient way to fund their accounts.”
BetMGM offers sports betting and iGaming products to players across North America. The company is jointly owned by Entain and MGM Resorts International.
